Scattered data approximation of fully fuzzy data by quasi-interpolation

Fuzzy quasi-interpolations help to reduce the complexity of solving a linear system of equations compared with fuzzy interpolations. Almost all fuzzy quasi-interpolations are focused on the form of $widetilde{f}^{*}:mathbb{R}rightarrow F(mathbb{R})$ or $widetilde{f}^{*}:F(mathbb{R})rightarrow mathbb{R}$.  In this paper, we intend to offer a novel fuzzy radial basis function by the concept of so...

A Framework for Generalized Scattered Data Interpolation

A generalization of scattered data interpolation for arbitrary sets of data is presented that allows better interpolation in situations where non-punctulate constraints are present. A generalized point{set{metric is introduced which allows adaption of distance weighted interpolation methods to the described generalization. The usefulness of the approach is demonstrated by examples.

Thinning algorithms for scattered data interpolation

Multistep interpolation of scattered data by compactly supported radial basis functions requires hierarchical subsets of the data. This paper analyzes thinning algorithms for generating evenly distributed subsets of scattered data in a given domain in IR. AMS subject classification: 41A15, 65D05, 65D07.

Scattered data interpolation methods for electronic imaging systems: a survey

Numerous problems in electronic imaging systems involve the need to interpolate from irregularly spaced data. One example is the calibration of color input/output devices with respect to a common intermediate objective color space, such as XYZ or L*a*b*. In the present report we survey some of the most important methods of scattered data interpolation in two-dimensional and in three-dimensional...
